KC Air Show

The Kansas City Air Show is an annual tradition that flies right over Apex! Each year the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (across the Broadway Bridge) hosts performers such as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Army Golden Knights, and the A-10 Demo Team for a high-flying adventure anyone will love. KC Riverfest

Every year on July 4th the Berkley Riverfront is transforms into the premier Independence Day celebration in KCMO. Experience the best fireworks show around, not to mention two stages of music with performances all day, family-friendly activities like a scavenger hunt and cornhole tournament, and all your favorite Kansas City food trucks. City Market Square

With the region’s largest Farmers Market, an eclectic mix of shops and boutiques, not to mention First Fridays and other events all summer long, City Market Square is the go-to summer spot. Dating back to 1857 the site has a rich history of commerce, trading, rallies, revivals, and even circuses. City Market may have changed over the years, but it still stands as one of the premiere time capsules of life on the American frontier in the mid-nineteenth century. Hot Country Nights

Another can’t-miss KCMO summer favorite, Miller Light Hot Country Nights is presented by Q104 and Midwest Ford. Head over to the Power & Light District every Thursday for live music, and all the best food and drink Kansas City has to offer. The shows themselves are free, but you have an option to upgrade to VIP for VIP Terrace, Blub 150, and The Level Up Deck.
